Description

Trenbolone acetate

Extreme muscle and strength gain. Accelerates weight loss One of the most powerful steroids

Trenbolone acetate (Item No. 24966) is an analytical reference standard categorized as an anabolic androgenic steroid.1,2 Trenbolone acetate is regulated as a Schedule III compound in the United States. This product is intended for research and forensic applications

This compound belongs to the class of organic compounds known as steroid esters. These are compounds containing a steroid moiety which bears a carboxylic acid ester group.

Steroidal hormones commonly used in cattle anabolic implants include trenbolone acetate, estradiol, estradiol benzoate, and zeranol. Estradiol, zeranol, and estradiol benzoate are either used alone, or in combination with progesterone, trenbolone acetate, or testosterone propionate. Today, nearly 30 different anabolic implants available for use in the United States. Anabolic implants vary in dosage and, depending on the type, contain anywhere from 8 to 44 mg of an estrogenic compound, 40–200 mg of an androgenic compound, and/or 100–200 mg of a progestin.

Anabolic implants are administered in the form of a compressed pellet or a silastic rubber implant. Compressed pellets are first mixed with a carrier and processed into pellets. Silastic rubber implants are infused with the anabolic compound. Additionally, some implants are now coated with a polymer to allow for slower release and eliminate reimplantation need. The payout period for anabolic implants ranges from 50 to over 200 days, depending on the type of implant and the dosage of active compounds. The anabolic implants are inserted into the middle one-third of the back of the ear via an implant gun that is usually specific to the type of implant being employed. Melengestrol acetate, on the other hand, is a feed additive directly consumed at a recommended dose of 0.5 mg per head per day. Overall, usage of anabolic implants during the finishing phase increases DMI by 6%, ADG by 18%, feed efficiency by 8%, HCW by 5%, and ribeye area by 4% when compared to animals that do not receive an anabolic implant (Duckett and Pratt, 2014). Furthermore, depending on the price of cattle, the return on investment for cattle producers for anabolic implants varies from $15 to $163 per head (Donovan et al., 1983; Duckett and Pratt, 2014)
